When I first saw this, my instant thought was 'Shawshank Redemption', but then I thought about 'Lord of the Rings', 'Gattica', 'The Matrix', 'Bruce Almighty', etc.

Rather than trying to look at all of these individually, I thought that I would provide a link to an excellent site that has study guides on a whole host of films - and other genres of art, for people to browse through.

The site is http://www.damaris.org. Click on the CultureWatch button, or find it in the drop-down menu of Damaris sites at the top of the page. Then click on the yellow 'Films' tab and you will be able to choose from a whole spread of alphabetically-listed films.
